Deira (Kabier: ديرة) is the most populous city and emirate in the Kingdom of Abbasid, and is one of the country's major economic centers. The city is one of the older cities in existence on Adonia, dating back well into the 12th century. Since the oil boom in the late twentieth century, Deira has grown to become an alpha city, with a metropolitan population of almost 14 million. Deira is located on the north east coast of the Kabier Gulf, near Abbasidi border with Iras, and is the smallest of Abbasid's seven emirates. The city is the largest urban area of the Deira-Saadiyat-Sabrallaj Metropolitan Area.
